KENNEDY THOMPSON

I’m a game developer and graduate student at USC, pursuing a Master’s in Computer Science with a specialization in Games. I centers on game programming, graphics, and tool creation, with a particular interest in developing tools and visual pipelines that make game creation more accessible to artists, designers, and everyday players. I’m passionate about building responsive mechanics and immersive visuals that push both technical and creative boundaries.

Brought SMPL-X—a cutting-edge 3D human body model trained on thousands of scans—into Unity, bridging research and creativity. I integrated an open-source plugin that lets artists drop in a YouTube video, use SMPLify to extract motion data, and watch a full 3D character in Unity mimic those moves—no mocap suit required!
